2008 Veterans Day

To kids like you and me Veterans Day is just a day where we get a day off of school, but to many others, like Mrs. Kizer, its so much more. Veterans Day is a day where we honor the people who have severed our country. We recently had an assembly to honor the people who did this.There is a memorial on the LMS grounds that states the names of several men who had gone to LMS back when it was a high school. When these men left it was a big loss to the community. There was only 85 students at this time so even five would be a big loss for the school. Mrs. Kizer explained that she wants to make sure our veterans are remembered because she thinks that the people who risked their lives to make sure that we have freedom is something that should be honored and remembered.
